Educational – Workshops, Training, Courses
Campbell Park Estate was run as an educational facility for eighty years and has the ability to offer every amenity a modern educational facility requires. Because of the unique and intimate setting of the Estate, it is perfect for large and small groups wanting a quiet and relaxed place to run courses, workshops, training etc. There are also a number of unique points of educational and recreational interest close to the Estate to supplement and/or augment any program with specific study subjects and fun activities.
Recreational – Holidays and Accommodation
Our fully self-contained houses are available for tourist and casual accommodation. Situated in the Waitaki Valley, Campbell Park is the perfect stop-over on the main tourist route between Omarama and Oamaru. Take a little time out to relax and enjoy this amazing place. Bookings are essential.
Celebrations, Functions, Events & Family Reunions
Campbell Park is completely unique, in that it has vast facilities, can accommodate and cater to small and large numbers of people, as well as offer the peace and tranquility of a fully self-contained magical rural environment. A variety of dining styles are available, from a BBQ to formal dining.
Campbell Park has a special atmosphere, making it a wonderful place for reflecting, creating, & renewing. Various retreats have been held at Campbell Park – meditations, workshops, etc. It is also the perfect place for anyone wanting to work in a peaceful and inspiring environment.
Over the last 10 years New Zealand has become world renowned as a location for film production. Campbell Park is nestled amongst the rugged landscapes such as those seen in productions like "The Lord of the Rings", "The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe" and "Willow". The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe, Ford and others have used Campbell Park Estate to great success as an accommodation and production facility.
Conference and Convention
If you are looking for a more informal, relaxed venue, why not consider Campbell Park? As a conference complex Campbell Park Estate offers accommodation for over 150 people set amidst a rural backdrop of mountains, rivers and lakes. It is an all-inclusive venue, with lots of activities on the Estate.
For intensive training camps, Campbell Park Estate excels as a venue with its gymnasium, tennis courts, handball courts, swimming pool, weights room, spa, extensive playing fields, and miles of sealed roads for cyclists and runners. Please note that the Estate can provide equipment for smaller groups including kayaks, tramping & camping gear. Rock climbing equipment is also available for use at the well-known Elephant Rocks climbing area, which is only a 15 minute drive away.
We have a fabulous natural environment and all the facilities needed to host a successful, fun-filled school camp. For recreation, on-site there is a games room, theatre, gym, pool, tennis and hand ball courts. Nearby are the Waitaki river and lakes and Ohau Ski field and Mt Cook are within 90 minutes of the Estate.
Campbell Park Estate has a long established equestrian history, having hosted the Southern hemispheres largest equestrian event, Springston Trophy. Ranging from the stately grace of the stables built in 1876 to the 1100 hectares of gently rolling farmland, the estate offers a comprehensive equestrian facility.
For research groups the Estate has much to offer – an all-inclusive venue without interruption, a stunning environment and many resources including science labs, work rooms, and broadband access. The Estate also includes an 1100 hectare farm (three hectares of which are planted in Pinot Gris and and Pinot Noir grapes) for soil, agricultural, horticultural, sustainability, environmental, and husbandry research.
The Estate has its own grade seven runway, immense infrastructure and is within close proximity to a multitude of popular New Zealand destinations.
